Reveals for

I also don't particularly LIKE infidelity, most of the time. It's something I personally find unappealing in fiction when it's not consensual. (Open relationships are good.) In service of a story it's not a dealbreaker for me, but generally I avoid it. So to get to somewhere I was comfortable writing, I needed a fairly open-minded, complex Fleur alongside Bill. Unknowingly, I think I totally ripped off the Fleur from the fantastic Five Women Who Hate Fleur Delacour. It wasn't intentional, and I didn't realize how much that concept of Fleur had shaped mine until I saw people commenting in my entry thinking it was that author's Fleur. She was cool about it, and unoffended, so that was great. But I think that fic definitely seeped into my subconscious as I wrote this.
Overall, it's not the kind of story I ever would have written on my own. But sometimes that's the fun of challenges, and I think it came out well enough. (Though it needed an edit and I've caught some things since I submitted it to the mod. Ew, me.)
I'll be posting that, along with my Remix Fic over on my fic archive in the next few days.
I also apparently won Best Comedy or Parody Fic over at The Hourglass Awards which is awesome. I got a shiny banner and everything.

So that's very nifty, and I'm continually tickled at the reception that fic has gotten.
I had some more to say, but I forget it. So I leave you with some animal pictures. They are big because I still have no real photo editing software on the Mac that I know how to use, and I couldn't be bothered to use photobucket's editor to resize them all. So click at your peril!
Diego is a girl, and is getting big.
But is still adorable.
Pyro says his cute is not to be outdone though.
Sam is lazy and doesn't care who is cutest.
Dean just wants to know why he always has to share his basket.
Diego says it's because she's cutest. She's kind of cocky.
And just a note - I had a sinus infection not long ago. No big deal, but it triggered my blood stuff again. So I'm being monitored, and have had to go in for transfusions a couple of times. My insurance doesn't want me admitted as an inpatient unless I hit certain numbers, so I've been going in as a day patient to be transfused. Hopefully I won't have to actually be admitted. But if I do vanish, that's why. Even if I do go in, I'd have the laptop though so it shouldn't happen. And I'm in no danger, I just have to be watched in case my platelets or red cells go plonk.
When my blood's low, I tend to be tired and a little non-focusing, so if I flake on stuff, that's also why. Just kick me a good one to remind me.
